Expenditure and Budget in Architectural Accessibility

Our university continues its architectural accessibility efforts with determination, in line with the goal of creating a campus that provides equal, safe, and independent access for all individuals. In this context, significant improvements have been implemented to ensure that physical spaces can be comfortably used by everyone.

In 2025, a total budget of TRY 2.5 million was allocated for accessibility initiatives, and various improvements were carried out across the campus accordingly. Within the scope of the works conducted by the Construction and Technical Works Department, essential applications such as accessible ramps, Braille signage, tactile guiding paths for visually impaired individuals, and accessible restrooms were completed. These arrangements aim to enable individuals with disabilities to move more independently and safely within the campus.

For 2026, a budget of TRY 2 million has been allocated to ensure the sustainability of accessibility efforts and to further enhance existing implementations. In the upcoming period, it is planned to strengthen the current infrastructure, address remaining gaps, and elevate accessibility standards to a higher level.

Our university does not limit accessibility efforts to physical arrangements alone; it adopts a holistic approach that supports the equal participation of all individuals, with the vision of creating an inclusive living environment. The work carried out in this direction represents a significant step toward achieving our goal of an accessible and barrier-free campus.
